Vice President, Building Automation and Controls
Mike is Vice President of NEMSI’s Building Automation and Controls, responsible for technical support of all NEMSI business units for all building service products, such as building automation systems, energy efficiency improvements, and evaluation of new building technologies. Mike also oversees NEMSI’s Building Automation Design and Installation group.
Since he started in the HVAC industry in 1986, Mike has a very diverse background having held positions as an HVAC Technician, Software Engineer, Manager of Engineering, and General Manager. Prior to his employment with NEMSI, Mike managed the Automation Group at Select Energy.
In addition to his Building Automation activities, Mike performs energy audits and analysis on a wide array of facilities and applications including commercial buildings, industrial processes, and institutional environments. Mike is responsible for energy savings calculations and submits projects to local utilities to obtain energy incentives on behalf of many of NEMSI’s customers.
Mike graduated from Springfield Technical Community College where he earned a degree in Energy Systems. He is also a graduate of Baran Institute of Technology, and holds a D-2 License and multiple HVAC certifications. Mike is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE). Mike has both the Association of Energy Engineers Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) designations.
The Personal Side
Mike is a native of West Springfield, MA, and currently resides in Enfield with his wife Erin, daughter Brooke, and son Mark.
